The club originally applied for a lottery grant to purchase a digital projector, laptop and appropriate software, but the application was unsuccesful. It was decided not to reapply at the time and to reconsider the purchase of the equipment depending on future quality and price of the projectors.      However, it was becoming increasingly clear that external competitions were switching from 35mm to Digital projected images and this trend would continue. After some research and costings, the projector was purchased in time for  the the 2009/2010 season to be used in our internal club battles and for selecting submissions for use in external competions. Two internal competitions at the club were judged by our president. It is planned to include the DPI entries alongside the existing slides and prints in monthly competitions.
